Note to self -- fish for Golden Trout with a flyrod before I die
Just a reminder to myself lest I forget. Whether by foot or on horseback, or with pack goats or llamas -- BP, get thyself to the high sierra with flyrods in tow so you can catch (and of course release) some Golden Trout before you kick the bucket.
Been too long since I was in the High Sierra anyway.
Enjoy those pursuits that demand you venture into beautiful wilderness,
Bp

that is a beautiful fish.
Wow !-- Ctheg beat me to it but I gotta say it, too: I've never seen such a beautiful fish! Those rainbows in the Rockies take second place. May they all be around alot longer than sometimes it feels like they will be... yer va momma
Note to Self: Go Fly fishing.
Beautimus ain't they?
Bentley... I know this guy in Portland Oregon who'd be glad to give you some casting lessons, we do have casting pools here after all...
I Think sir that would be a good plan! I've heard of some good fly fishing spots on the island said person could take some good advantage of.
A noble intention.
BP,
I know you remember the day you and I fished that wooded stretch of the Sycan River. All you caught were brookies, and all I caught were rainbows, despite the fact that we were trading casts standing just across the narrow stream from each other.
Do you remember what the rainbows looked like? They all had a bright yellow cast, not as yellow as the golden trout in your photo, but decidedly yellow compared to the average trout native to that area.
Youu and I need to get out and fish together.
Stu
One of my better days of fishing in Oregon.
And yes, we do.
