. It was an impulse buy. There's something about using elderberry extract to fight viruses and bacteria that just appeals to me. It was developed by a woman, which is cool. And, it's been around for a long time. Oh, and it tastes pretty much like kid's cough syrup, so you KNOW it's gotta work. It is working dandily to keep me from getting the bug The Wife has, as well as helping her heal quickly. I looked Sambucol up to write about it, because I thought it was kind of retro and cool and whatnot. What did I find? It seems that it may fight the bird flu, in addition to being a comfy throwback for those who were raised by hippies in the '70's. Go figure.

Oddly enough my mom has been taking Sambucol along side her Arthretis Medication (go go steroids) it was a recommendation from her doctor.. not quite sure why :P
