Bat Dog

CJ is a chocolate lab trained to find certain types of wildlife and apparently he's very good at it. In this great photoset on Durmphoto.com, my blog friend Michael Durham traveled with and shot CJ tracking down Allen's lappet-browed bats (Idionycteris phyllotis) in the Coconino National Forest in Arizona.

As usual, his photography is just superb -- the man does excellent work, check out the full photo set here. [remember to click on the pictures to get a bigger, higher resolution view -- especially that last one]

Enjoy animals helping humans help animals,

Bp
