I could kiss this woman, seriously, right on the lips

Ok the trick is, just skip to 1:17 to avoid the intro. I mean, if you want to see the intro that's fine but the meat is when Representative Mary Kaptur, D-Ohio makes her address to the house about the bailout.

It's amazing, she's amazing. I'm not going to crow about her being a Dem, because if she was a Repug or Independent or Green or Labor or any other party I'd still love what she said.

She was not featured in any MSM (Main Stream Media) of course.

Enjoy the truth spoken in the halls of power,

Bp

As much as I like Network, you're right, the speech is FAR better. She's wonderful and I'd vote for her for anything in a minute. She makes my Chicken Little point with considerably better clarity and sarcasm.

I agree with your previous assessment that the Neocons have fucked us again, from a completely different direction. Just imagine what they could do if their scheming plans could be turned to the forces of Good.

No. Hell no. We have to say no to this madness.

Thanks for posting this. Rep. Kaptur is trying to warn us.

I said in a posting on my own blog that no one in Washington spoke for the American people. I was wrong; there is at least one person, Rep. Kaptur.

One of the refreshing things is that she did pointed out that BOTh parties are beholden to money from the financial industry.

This is one of your best internet 'finds' in a long time, B. It's a ray of sunshine to know that not only am I not alone, but someone with my sentiments is in a position to speak to congress. Bummer its only an empty, cavernous room of empty seats, watched by a few hundred CSPAN fans and now, a few nerds on the net.

Seriously though, thanks for sharing. It really does make me feel less depressed knowing that this is being said.

Glad ya'll enjoyed this as much as I did. It's amazing to hear the truth spoken in that room for once.

It shouldn't be amazing and heartening, but it sure is.

you know I'm no fan of politicians, gov't or anything to do with ummairycahn "values" - but that clip rocked!!

I even looked her up and sent her a grats for truly being a "representative" of her public.
