Nicolas Cage movies, memories

Does anyone remember the last good Nicolas Cage movie? I keep trying to remember, but am not coming up with anything.

    I didn't go for the writing schtick in Adaptation, but I do think he did an amazing job in LLV.

    This one seems to be tapping into a larger meme, trepidation that TEOTWAWKI is just around the corner.
    Boy do I agree about Cages terrible efforts in the last number of years. His acting or his choice of vehicles? You have to go way back to find laudable flicks like LLV or the quirky "Wild at Heart". The "National Treasure" ones were unbearable.

    He's always just hang dog Cage, shuffling around with the same pained look on his face, regardless of the role. It's not ever been convincing. J. in VA
